Mary McLain

President

Mary McLain is a founder at McLain Mediation where she has served as an Attorney Mediator for the last 25 years. She has a strong background in commercial litigation where she has successfully mediated hundreds of cases in a wide-range of areas including commercial/business, personal injury, insurance, employment, real estate, probate, partnerships, and family law.

She also serves on ADR panels for the United States District Court, Northern District of California; San Francisco, Marin, Los Angeles County Superior Courts and the California Mediation Program and acts as Judge Pro-Tem in numerous matters.

Mariah Noah

Vice President

Mariah is an associate at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP in San Francsico, where she practices high-stakes commercial litigation, representing plaintiffs and defendants across industries in both state and federal courts. She has diverse experience in both trial and appellate litigation, including commercial disputes, professional malpractice, anti-trust, trade secrets, and mass torts. Mariah received her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and worked as a field organizer in Bay Area campaigns before receiving her J.D. from UC Davis School of Law.

Shelley Kramer

Secretary & Co-Treasurer

Shelley is a Los Angeles native. She graduated from UCLA in 1975 with a degree in economics and political science from UC Hastings, the law school now known as UC Law San Francisco, in 1978.

Currently, Shelley serves as a Senior Attorney at Cholakian & Associates taking on the defense of individual and small businesses. Her cases have involved homeowner, home seller, and landlord liability; car, truck, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, construction accidents and disputes, products liability, and employment. Shelley’s experience includes over 30 jury trials throughout California, and multiple appeals.

Dorothy Jones

Co-Treasurer

Dorothy is a retired Chief Deputy County Counsel for the County of Marin.

Lois Prentice

Director at Large

Lois founded Marin County Women Lawyers in 1976, inviting every woman attorney she could find listed in the telephone books of Marin, Napa, Sonoma, Solano, and Mendocino Counties to join her in forming an association of women attorneys.

Lois received her law degree from Columbia Law School and has been a practicing attorney for 60 years.

Neusha Ghaedi

Director at Large

Neusha serves as a Partner at DeMartini Walker and Ghaedi LLP. She has successfully litigated many cases since joining the firm in 2017. Neusha’s clientele ranges from some of Marin County’s largest property managers and real estate developers to individual property owners and trustees. She advises clients on a wide variety of legal matters pertaining to real estate transactions, property management, trust litigation, and commercial and residential properties.

Alongside Marin County Women Lawyers, Neusha currently serves as an officer on the Marin County Bar Association Board of Directors. She is Co-Chair of the Real Property Section of the Marin County Bar Association. She regularly volunteers in the Marin County Lawyers in the Library Program, assisting underserved community members with their legal issues.

John Mounier

Director at Large

John is a Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area dog rescuing English major from Loyola Marymount University and a UCLA Law Grad who defends elders and senior citizens, fights financial abuse and neglect of elders, battles against fraud, protects animals, supports and raises funds for no-kill animal rescue organizations, and tries Elder Abuse Cases and Animal Rights Cases all over Northern California and Southern California.

His passions are defending and protecting elders who can no longer watch out for themselves and helping animals thrive and survive!

Estate Planning is not part of his practice, but he works with lots of planners fighting for elders, contesting suspect wills & toxic trusts. His animal protection website is www.TheAnimalProtector.com. Four rescue dogs (Iris, Charlie, Rosie & Lizzie) are featured on the home page.
