A PANEL DISCUSSION ABOUT THE SPIKE IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DURING THE PANDEMIC
The Honorable Mark Talamantes
District Attorney Lori Frugoli
Deputy Executive Director of Center
for Domestic Peace Kate Kain
Location: Zoom Video Conference
CLE Credit: 1 General Credit
During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a disturbing increase in domestic violence crimes. With shelter-in-place orders and the closure of workplaces and schools, many domestic violence victims, including children, are trapped at home and unable to escape their abusers. While the need is greater, seeking help and safety is more difficult during these times.
During the National Domestic Violence Awareness month of October, join us for a panel discussion on the impact of the pandemic on the victims of domestic violence, how local authorities and organizations are handling this crisis, and how you can help.
